Class 1: Beginning Hustle (From scratch)
6 - 6:50 PM. You'll learn 3 count hustle from the late 70's.
Hustle has returned over the last few years and is danced in most
cities to disco and R&B music.
Class 2: Beginning West
Coast Swing (from Scratch) 6:50 - 7:40 PM. You'll learn the
six basic moves of WCS focusing on good technique, posture, and
timing. WCS is a very popular dance nationally and internationally
and is danced to many types of music including blues, R&B, and
contemporary.
Steve Ryan is a
professional dancer who has been dancing for more than 25 years,
and has won numerous dance competitions throughout that time in
jazz, theatre arts, hustle & west coast swing. He also won a full
scholarship to the studios of Alvin Ailey in NYC. He is an
advanced level dancer on the national swing circuit. He also
danced a feature role in the Sleeping Beauty Ballet in February 2005.
He has choreographed many swing dance routines that were performed
by class members at local dances and at the Syracuse Symphony. He
training in Los Angeles with national champions in 2003. He’s a firm
believer in strong technique. He also just finished a teaching tour
in New Zealand
and Australia in 2007. He recently won the Syracuse edition of
Dancing with The Stars in 2010

2010), at the door $63, or $10 per single class.
